Na Bong-Chim (Kor: 나봉침) is a member of the group called 'The Six', who fought Jin Taejin 17 years ago. He takes Jin Mori as an apprentice after the Metropolitan area matches of G.O.H tournament.

Appearance[]

Nah Bongchim is an old man. He has long hair tied back, a long beard and long eyebrows. He lost one of his arms against Jin Taejin 17 years ago. He has needles sticking out of parts of his body.[1]

Personality[]

Bongchim was shown to be a very calm and clear minded person, but still holds a grudge against Jin Taejin for ripping his arm off, however he was still kind enough to train his grand-son.

Bongchim shared a common ground with Taejin Jin, that is how he resented users of Borrowed Power. Saying things such as, "If a borrowed power user broke even one finger, everything is done for."

History[]

Bongchim along with the other The Six, end up fighting with Jin Taejin who they all lose to, and Taejin rips Bongchim's arm off.[1] Bongchim later orders Park Mu-Bong to lock him up so he can learn to master his body and mind, so he can consume the Sage Pill without dying from its effect.

Bong-Chim managed to become part of The Six at the age of 40. He became fascinated about acupuncture after recovering from an illness western medicine couldn't cure.[2]

When he was a young man he tried to propose to Kim Oong-Nyuh, but she rejected him harshly.

Plot[]

A Round with God[]

After being locked up for many years, Bongchim grew tired and managed to make Jin Mori come to him and set him free. When Mori opened the gate and found him, he tells Mori that he'll destroy his enemies if he lets him go, while Mori looks around, looking for food. Mori eats the Sage Pill, causing him to freak out. Asking one more time for Mori to let him go, he tells him to use the computer which holds his locks. He seems to only remember the first letter of the password, which is J. Mori uses his grandfather's name and unlocks the locks. When Bongchim finds out Mori is Taejin's grandson, he attempts to stab him through his heart,[1] only to narrowly miss when Mori barely counters with a kick. Realizing Jin has potential, Na lets him live.[3]

Bongchim later meets up with his old teammate Park Mubong where he tells him that Mori ate the Sage Pill. Both of them end up fighting since Bongchim believes Mubong owes him that.[3] Their fight ends with no one as a conclusive winner as both of them fight evenly. After their fight gets over, they head to the arena to save Mori, but he ends up dying from Judge Q's attacks. Bongchim confirms this but somehow Mori manages to get up again.[4] He treats Mori, and concludes that nothing happened to him since he is capable of holding more energy than the single fruit was able to generate. He talks to Mubong about an upcoming threat and that they need to try to get The Six together again.[5]

Abilities[]

He is assumed to be very strong, seeing he is one of the Six and is seen fighting very evenly with Park Mujin. Jin Mo-Ri was easily defeated by him, and was only spared when Bong-Chim saw his potential. Despite losing an arm he was still able to fight against Park Mu-Bong to a standstill.

After finishing his training to withstand the power of Sage Pill, Na-Bong Chim's power increase to the point that he can fight one on one with Jin Tae-Jin.

Master Martial Artist: Bongchim was a master martial artist, able to fight really well with strong opponents multiple times such as Park Mubong and the Nephilims. Despite losing, he held himself pretty well while fighting Jin Taejin, being the last member of The Six standing after Kim Oong-Nyuh. He also managed to stab Jin Mori's chest accurately in a really short tempo, showing his high level of speed and accuracy.

Intelligence and Creativity: Bongchim was intelligent and creative enough to make a fighting style out of his knowledge of acupuncture.

Superhuman Strength: Due to the nature of his fighting style, he has not explicitly shown bouts of superhuman strength but it is evident that he is monstrously strong - against Jin Mo-Ri, he would have pierced through his heart had Jin not pushed back the blow. He has demonstrated the strength in his fingers when sparring against Park Mu-Bong he was able to counter Longinus' Hand just using his finger.

Superhuman Speed: Bong-Chim has displayed extreme speed - he easily closed the distance between him and Jin Mori, and attack, with Jin Mori barely turning around in time.

Martial Arts[]

Nabong Needle Ryu[]

As a member of the Six, Bong-Chim is a master of his fighting style. He is the highest level Needle Ryu practitioner and is assumed to know all its secrets. He operates an acupuncture clinic presumably as a result of his Needle skills. While Bong-Chim can use needleless Ryu, he seems to keep real needles to fight.

  • Jeahbongchim (Limiter Removal): He is shown to increase his power 2 times.
  • Pentagon: Bong-Chim uses his needle finger to draw out a pentagon shape, strong enough to counter the Charyeok ability of a fellow Six member, Park Mu-Bong.

Weapon[]

Acupuncture Needle is Bong-Chim's weapon of choice, which he uses in conjunction with his martial art. He was first shown using one when attempting to kill Jin Mo-Ri for being Jin Tae-Jin's grandson.
