How the hell did you live before that? I'm bombarded with guilt and resentment everywhere.

—Jin Mori, to his past life in the Sage Realm, just before obtaining his memories

Jin Mori (진모리, Jin Mori; "Mori Jin") is the main protagonist of The God of High School. His true identity is Sun Wukong [The Monkey King], the leader of the Mount Hwagwa Monkeys and one of the Nine Demon Kings.

After RagnarÖk ended, he was recognized as a Supreme God. He was forced to go into hiding as Dan Mori after being betrayed and framed by Park Mujin. He later reveals his identity as Sun Wukong to save his sister and get revenge on Park Mubong.

During the final battle between Park Mubong (Mujin) and Dan Mori, Jin Mori is revealed to be the god Maitreya.

After finishing the battle, Mori has reached Nirvana (Heaven) and Xuanzang who also reached Nirvana gave him 2 options. The first is to become a true God, however, by choosing this, he must cut all ties to the world and oversee all of creation, as well as bring balance to the universe as a spirit from heaven. The second is to stay in the world but lose all his powers and be in endless battles against enemies as a result of his fight with Mubong. Mori chose both, to become an almighty being (Buddha) and to live a happy life in the world, Xuanzang accepted his choice.

17 years after Park Mujin's death, Mori Jin is recognized as the absolute and most powerful god as well as the most loved man in the world. He also lives together with Dan Ahan as Park Taejin's adoptive parents.

Jin Mori

Jin Mori is 177 cm tall and has an athletic build. He is frequently seen wearing a dark-green sleeping mask. His hair is dark brown, and he has black eyes with bright gold pupils. When he is irritated or excited, the pupil forms a cross that reaches all the way to the edge of the iris. He has a large scar on his forehead that is hidden by his hair.

During the GOH Tournament, he usually wears a white T-shirt, red shoes, blue pants, and a jacket that he ties around his waist.

His appearance has matured 17 years after RagnarÖk and has numerous scars on his body.

He is seen in the epilogue wearing a grey jeogori and jeans, with his hair tied in a low ponytail.

God-jinmori

Jin Mori's True Form.

In Monkey King mode, he is shown wearing his Yongpyo and Loop of Binding. His eyes are blue with a golden cross that reaches to the edge of his iris.

His irises turned red after being imprisoned in the Palgwaero and gaining power from his subordinates. These were later sealed when he lost the First Heavenly War, unsealed after he ate Xuanzang, and lost again when he fell into deep sleep. He reclaimed them following his training before entering The Skyscraper.

As Dan Mori, he resembles a young adult of medium height (shorter than his Jin Mori appearance) with an athletic physique covered in scars. His face has been described as adorable on multiple occasions. He has large round black eyes with yellow pupils and teal colored tousled hair.

After the preliminaries of the GOH tournament, Dan Mori once again wears his characteristic sleeping mask. Mori also wears a black sweatshirt with a floral print on the hood, a plaid red shirt over it, and another blue jacket around his waist during the tournament. He's also frequently seen in a pink orchid shirt with black sleeves and jeans, or a white sleeveless shirt with an orange jacket and a green sweater.

Mori cuts his hair after his sister's recovery, resulting in a short haircut that reveals the scar on his forehead. The hair eventually regrows to its previous state.

Dan Mori's hair gradually changes colour while fighting Park Mubong until it is completely white. His Jin appearance retains the white colour and has gold coloured tips, but he can also return to his original hair colour (dark brown). His "Miracle" form features a jade Loop of Binding, while his Nirvana form has a red one.

Personality[]

Previously, as Wukong, he ruled over various demons since he was a child. He was ruthless and arrogant, starting the First Heavenly War because he felt the gods were looking down on him, sacrificing his allies and people in favor of conquering the Heavenly Realm and satisfying his murderous desires, but he did not downplay life and refused to bring Hephaestus souls in exchange for his armor. The Gods of the First Heavenly Realm even compared Satan to him, mentioning that he doesn't smell like violence like Mori does. He refused to fight alongside others to the point where he would rather lose than ask for assistance and also preferred to live a short but eventful life rather than spend it as a god's servant.

After he was defeated and imprisoned for 500 years by Tathagata, his aggressive behavior subsided. He still sought strength, but Xuanzang taught him the value of life, trust in others, and the true meaning of paradise. Under her wing, he began to show mercy and kindness and developed a strong desire to protect, which leads to what he believes is his life's purpose. However, he is quite unable to properly communicate his feelings, which causes him to hurt the feelings of others. Mori's experience of being forced to eat Xuanzang alive in order to survive left him with severe trauma and an intense hatred and fear for Tathagata.

As he took the identity of Jin Mori after forgetting his previous one, parts of his behavior closely resembles Xuanzang's. He is playful, straight-forward, loyal, good-natured and is wiser than he appears, but he can be childish. His instinct is incredible, he's quick-witted and has an excellent fighting prowess. His trait of preffering to fight by himself is still present as he dislikes the concept of borrowing power from others. His good nature was shown when he knocked down Gang Manseok after witnessing his excessive violence, despite knowing that he would be disqualified from the tournament, and according to Mira, Mori would have withdrawn immediately if he had known Daewi was fighting to save his friend.

It can be inferred that Mori wasn't a very sociable person originally, as he had no close relationships outside of his grandfather before meeting Mira and Daewi. He only realized he had made friends when Mira and Daewi showed up at his door to celebrate his birthday.

He rarely expresses anger, but when he does, he reveals his merciless side as he ruthlessly beats up his opponent with an expressionless face. He is also capable of killing his opponents and is unaffected by their deaths.

When he regained his full memories inside the Gourd, he expressed hate and disappointment towards his past self's behaviour of needlessly sacrificing those who were willing to lay down their lives for him, rejected his previous identity and took responsibility for his subjects, protecting them. He no longer rushes into fights, assessing the situation first and setting priorities. He is very protective of his friends, immediately dropping his playful act and turning to violence and intimidation the moment he feels their safety is threatened.

His self-blame and hate builds up as he finds himself unable to protect his friends during RagnarÖk and ultimately feeling that he lost his purpose in life once again with the death of his grandfather, disappearing for 17 years and almost letting himself die.

As Dan Mori, he appears rather cheerful, but very responsible as the legal guardian and older brother of Dan Ahan, as he secures money for food, rent and medicine. He was also capable of taking a more parent-like attitude with her when he felt that she was hiding her medical condition from him and refused to take her medicine. It is later revealed that "Dan Mori" was just a façade Mori used to hide from himself, his guilt, self-hatred, and pain, as he forcefully repressed his memories whenever the idea that he was Jin Mori surfaced in his mind. Ahan, like Taejin and Xuanzang, became his reason to live and was the one who saved him from death. After the fight with Jung Mori, he decided to face himself. He became a much more calm and mature person. He confronted his own emotions and became more accepting of his flaws, which led him to improve himself both physically and mentally.

Despite his development, he harbours such a deep hatred for Mubong that he would even let himself and others die if it meant his demise. His thirst for vengeance led to him starting a war against the world, being responsible for two Generation X children's deaths and nearly killing a large group of people. Because of his life-long experience of engaging in lethal activities, he is unaffected by the deaths and sufferings of those who are not close to him.

He has a strong self-hate as he considers himself useless despite being powerful due to him not being able to protect his loved ones. Hearing about Tathagata's possible resurrection made him fearful, as he wouldn't be able to handle it if he lost anyone else dear to him. His biggest fear is having to run away from everything again in order to survive and ending up watching as the things he wants to protect dissapear before him.

He eventually accepts himself and his identities, as well as their emotional weight, as he realizes that everything that has happened in his life has had a purpose and that nothing in this world is useless. He understood that he's not alone and should not fight alone as everyone has his back.

History[]

A few billion years before the start of the G.O.H plot, the Nine Kings of the Sage Realm went to war with the Heavenly Realm. Jecheondaeseong eventually fought against the Nine-Tails Guardian but to the monkey kings dismay, their fight was interrupted and the king was captured and put into the Eight Trigrams Jail. Although he was imprisoned, he eventually broke out with the help of his army giving him strength. The war lasted for many years but it inevitably ended with the loss of the Sage Realm. Mori eventually fought against them once again, fighting against Buddha and the Jade Emperor but was captured and upon his return he acted as an emissary between the gods and the Sage Realm. However something happened that caused him to disappear and regress into the form of a baby and encase himself in an energy stone.

At least 20+ years before the start of the God of High School plot, Jin Tae-Jin and his RE Taekwondo Force was on a mission called Mission Gilgamesh in North Korea. After a huge fight with one of the fur clones of the Monkey King, where Tae-Jin won, the fur clone gave Mo-Ri, encased in an energy stone, to Tae-Jin to watch over and protect. Seventeen years prior to the start during the fight against Jin Tae-Jin and the Six he emerged from the crystal causing a massive explosion and led to the defeat of Kim Oong-Nyuh. He was later raised in the mountains and trained by Tae-Jin until he was around eight years old when he was sent to school to make friends and be around other people in the city. He learned Renewal Taekwondo from his grandfather and is most exceptional at it, being one of the strongest competitors in the G.O.H tournament.

  4. Deleting someone from his own Karmic Cycle, his own version of fate and cause and effect
  5. Nullifying someone's power, anyone who holds even the slightest malicious intent against him, will simply lose everything, and become powerless.
  6. Imposing a law that makes someone unable to even harm him, touch him, even if they somehow reached his true "body". And thats not even 10% of what he can do.
  7. Abilities - Creation (Restored the entire universe)
  8. Time Manipulation (Stopped time and rewound the damage done to the solar system)
  9. Existence Erasure (Made Mujin fade into nothing, slowed only by his connection to Mandeok, Mansuk and P.)
  10. Life Manipulation (Made plants grow from the ground)
  11. Power Nullification (Stripped Mujin of his power)

  14. Black hole creation (During his fight against 666: Satan)
  15. In terms of speed, Jin is everywhere at once; having literally held a timeline is his hand as well as being able to interact with it. He can also access Heaven which is a fourth-dimensional (4D) structure where he is a god that rules over creation.
  16. Mori is immune to existence erasure as he cannot die by no means possible he is free from the cycle of life and death and can do anything as he has complete control of reality. Mori's base (normal) form would still slam, having defeated many gods and was bending space in base form as a human. 17. Manipula esperma.
