Humans are the main inhabitants of the Human Realm in the God of High School. Previously, humans were restricted by the Taboo, a rule that prevented humans from attacking gods.

Taboo[]

Long ago, humans, monsters, and gods lived on the ancient Earth, where landmasses were still forming and civilization had not yet arisen. The monsters sought to rule over the humans, whom were far weaker than they, and had not yet developed technology on a level to hurt them (humans were living in what would be considered the Stone Age). Mankind was divided and scattered, living in isolated clans, each trying to fend for themselves.

Eventually, a chieftess of a human clan named Ungnyeo appealed to distant gods to lend them their power, to which the gods agreed on the condition that humans were forbidden to attack the gods. Due to this treatment, the gods would create the taboo a rule that prevented humans from attacking the gods, due to this rule the gods were practically immune to any attack that humans would throw at them, except those humans who possessed a key or the prophets (the descendants of Gaia).

After the RagnarÖk, Judge R broke the taboo by using Park Ilpyo and Lee Sujin's keys.

Generation X[]

Is a group of people who were born post-RagnarÖk and possess their own abilities and powers without having to borrow power from the gods.

The main ability that all of Generation X possesses is power transfer, an ability only prophets possess, Park Mubong states that the reason they have this ability is because all of Generation X are actually Prophets. Although Tathagata affirms that although they are similar they are not.

Abilities[]

Humans are by far the weakest race compared to Sage Realm's Inhabitants or Heavenly Realm's Inhabitants. They could originally become strong through Martial Arts and Borrowed Power, but few have the talent for it. Although humans are weak, some of them can contends Gods and Demons, like Jin Tae-Jin.

One of the reasons they are weak is Taboo. Although the taboo is meant to prevent humans from attacking the gods, it has also been shown to seal away some of the humans' power. This can be seen in how after destroying the taboo, Park Ilpyo defeated Shiva and Lee Sujin along with other humans received a power up. Some humans even managed to develop a Charyeok.

During the final battle between Dan Mori and Park Mubong, all of the Charyeok were lost except for Jin Mori's Nirvana and Park Taejin's Miracle. Because of this, the only skills left to humans are their Martial Arts.

Notes & Trivia[]

  • The Taboo is a political reference to all the unequal military treaties the USA, using North Korea as a bogeyman, enticed South Korea into signing. These treaties in effect gave the US troops occupying South Korea extraterritoriality, resulting in South Korean authorities being unable to take action against US soldiers even if they committed a crime on South Korean soil.
